Project Leadership: Child Welfare Pathway to Authorization
I both led and contributed instructional and e-learning design to create revamped curriculum for Ontario’s child protection workers. It covers topic such as equity, human rights, and anti-racism, with a focus on Indigenous content. It also includes e-learning, assessment, and a Authorization Candidacy Exam (ACE).
I worked in conjunction with the sponsor's project manager to manage of team of learning designers, subject-matter experts, and a psychometrist to develop the training. I drafted the project charter, project plan, and the MS Project Schedules. I was also the main point of contact for communication with the sponsor's project manager, ensuring that I generated regular weekly or biweekly status reports to accompany our update meetings.
I directed all team activities for the team members on our vendor side of the relationship. I ensured that my team received updated copies of the schedule weekly and worked with them to stay on track, anticipating and removing any roadblocks to their success. There were many moving part to this year-long project, so my involvement was not only in leadership but also in contributing the the work, creating instructional documents using style guides and content provided by subject-matter experts, e-learning storyboards, organizing and formatting participant and facilitator guides, and editing final print copies of resources.
